After School Program (ASP)

From academic support and language learning to performing arts, creative expression, and competitive sports, ASP empowers students to discover their passions while building leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills that last a lifetime.

Summer School Program

Our Summer School brings learning to life with inquiry-based projects designed to spark curiosity and creativity. In addition, the summer school aims to provide students with foundational experiences that enrich their lives in the future, enabling them to deepen their knowledge of subjects such as music and AI through learning.

Other Seasonal Programs

At our seasonal programs, we place particular emphasis on physical activity, especially team sports, ensuring that short breaks are both meaningful and fulfilling.For example, when the snow falls, the adventure begins! Students head to Japan’s breathtaking snow country for an unforgettable camp filled with skiing, snowboarding, and cultural exploration. With English-speaking instructors, every experience is safe, fun, and packed with learning on and off the slopes.

SUMMER SCHOOL

This is a program that Aoba improves every year and proudly recommends to students from kindergarten through high school to make the most of their long summer vacation.

Comfortable sports are guaranteed in the air-conditioned gymnasium, and a special curriculum is offered each year in the school building.. This popular program attracts students from all over the world.

Welcome to Aoba-Japan International School’s Summer Program 2025! Now is the time to make plans for summer. We will have two very special programs as part of our Aoba Summer Program this year. The regular program focuses on inquiry-based and hands-on activity-based learning, and this year there is also a strong emphasis on music sessions, where students can enjoy learning to play music instruments. In addition, we are excited to offer the special AI project-building program by a team of Stanford, MIT, and Ivy League alumni this year. We have also added a team sports, musical instrument special course, and English language skills session in the after-school session.

Moreover, there will be a music recital on Friday and parents can join it and also can visit other summer program classes too on that day. *Class registration will close when student number reaches our maximum capacity. Regular programs (Inquiry & Activity based learning)

This program provides a student-centered, inquiry-based, hands-on program where students learn in a relaxed and engaging environment. Inquiry-based learning includes English, Japanese, music, and sports, including pool time. Hands-on activity-based learning is for Grade 3 and up, and is mainly physical movement with inquiry-based, hands-on activities and experiences. Due to the nature of the activity, G2 and under will have inquiry-based learning for all sessions but different content.

GO School Program

(Session 1-5 After School Program for brush up English Language skills) This is After Summer English Boot Camp for Grades 1 to 9 (15:20 ~ 16:40 /80 min. every day after Summer School Session 1~5) Focus on Academic Skills and Communication Skills (more information here: GO School Program)
