Aoba-Japan International School offers a range of extracurricular programs that enrich student life beyond the classroom. The Summer School Program provides inquiry-based learning with a strong focus on music and includes an AI project course for older students led by alumni from top global universities. The After School Program offers activities such as academic support, language learning, performing and creative arts, and sports to build leadership and collaboration skills. During the Mid-Winter Break, the Winter Sports Camp allows students to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and cultural exploration in Japan’s snow country with English-speaking instructors.

An integral part of the school mission is to help students develop into leaders and wise risk takers. While this occurs in classes, of course, we believe it is equally important to create opportunities for students to do this outside of their classroom environments. These are an important way for young people to learn; Therefore, we make it a core part of our program by organizing outdoor educational trips every chance we get where students work together in a new environment.

This winter, experience the thrill and excitement of Aoba’s reopened snow sports program. Based on the situation last winter, we decided to cancel Winter School at the end of the year due to the proximity of Christmas and set up only a sports camp during Mid Winter Break.

Grade 4 to Grade 10 students can join the Winter Sports Camp and take part in activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowmobile riding, and snowshoe hiking.
